Start des Erhaltungszuchtprojektes

Mit Ende September 2016 hat nun das zweite Erhaltungszuchtprogramm des ÖVVÖ: Allotoca – Mesa Central begonnen. Aktuell wurden die ersten Mitglieder im Projekt verankert und ihre Bestände werden nun erfasst. Während der Jahresversammlung der Goodeid Working Group in Lissabon am vergangenen Wochenende (30.09.-02.10.) wurden von mir aus dem Haus des Meeres acht Jungfische von Neoophorus regalis an Thue Grum-Schwensen aus Dänemark übergeben, der sie an den Projektteilnehmer Lars Vig Jensen aushändigen wird. Diese Art wird nun aktuell von drei Züchtern in Europa gehalten, die alle Teilnehmer des Projektes sind.

By the end of September 2016, the second conservation project of the OEVVOE has started: Allotoca - Mesa Central. Actually, the first members have been added to the project and their stocks are going to be collected. During the annual convention of the Goodeid Working Group in Lisbon last weekend (30/09/2016-02/10/2016), I handed over eight young specimens of Neoophorus regalis from the Haus des Meeres to Thue Grum-Schwensen from Denmark, who will pass them over to Lars Vig Jensen, who is member of our project. By this act, now three breeders in Europe are keeping this species, all being member of this conservation project.
